What Do Window Tint Percentages Look Like?

Are you curious of what window tint percentages look like and what they mean? We're here to tell you!

First of all, the percentage means what percent of light is allowed to come through the window. 50% means 50% of light can come in. 35% means 35% of light allowed in, and so on.

Speaking of 50% and 35%, those are the legal limits in the state of WI. Your front 2 windows can be no less than 50%. Your back windows and rear window can be no less than 35%. Most SUVs and Extended Cab Trucks come with factory 20% on the rear and back windows. While this comes from the factory that way, we CANNOT legally match your front 2 windows to that. But, if you want a windshield strip, we can do that to your AS1 line in any percentage you want. We offer all of these options in Solar Gard Galaxie window film and Solar Gard Ultra Performance (Ceramic) window film. Both come with a limited lifetime transferrable warranty.

I know some of you are thinking, "50% barely looks tinted!" That is true, BUT, it is giving you that UV protection and heat reduction, even at that lower shade. So, even though, it LOOKS light, it's really working hard for you!
